Back to School with a Meal Gift

Posted on July 30, 2015

Although it feels like summer just started, school supplies are already filling up aisles in your local stores and teachers are gearing up for another year and a new set of students.

Back to school time can be an exciting and nerve wracking time for children and parents alike. With school supply lists getting longer every year, and school wardrobes that need updating, things can get hectic. For teachers, this feeling can be even more overwhelming. Not only do they likely have their own children to prepare for another school year, but they’re also busy preparing to welcome your children into their classrooms.

If you have a teacher in your life that is getting ready for another year in the classroom, whether it’s a friend or family member, or even a beloved teacher that really helped your child in previous years, consider sending them a token of gratitude to let them know you appreciate all the hard work they do, and are about to do once the school year kicks off.

A simple card or note to say thank you and good luck is a nice reminder that we appreciate all the work they do in helping our children grow and learn. If you want to kick things up a notch, send your favorite teacher a Meal Gift. They’re likely spending added hours at school in preparation for the beginning of the school year and coming home to a meal they only need to heat and serve would surely be a welcome relief.

You can also choose to allow your recipient to arrange for the date of the Meal Gift delivery so they can accommodate their own schedule. Perhaps things are running smoothly now as preparations are happening but they know the first week of school is a doozy and a Meal Gift would help alleviate a little stress.

We have a variety of meal options as well as sizes, to accommodate any family size, and if you go in on a Meal Gift with several families, you can purchase several meals to get your favorite teacher through some of the nights they’re spending extra time reviewing homework or grading papers.

And let’s not forget our school administrators and office staff! They also work tirelessly to provide a safe and welcoming environment for our children during their school day. Your favorite school librarian, nurse, or guidance counselor might also benefit from a Meal Gift. Take up a collection among friends with children attending the same school and head on over to the ordering page and help make someone’s day and get their school year started on the right foot.
